Active Insulation Market: Quantitative Market Analysis, Current and Future Trends

Active insulation permits the insulation of a building to turn off when it becomes too hot inside even when the temperatures are cold outside. The insulation of the building can be turned on when the building cools down to reach its desired level of temperature. Therefore, active insulation has the ability to cool down buildings during summer nights even without opening the doors and windows of the building. Further, active insulation helps in saving energy by reducing the consumption of electricity. Insulation is considered to be one of the major foundations of any energy-efficient construction scheme. It guarantees that the building is heated at desirable levels and prevents loss of energy from its walls, floors and roof structures among others. This is one of the positive features of insulation techniques for efficient energy consumption. But insulation always retains the heat inside the buildings, even during the summer months.

As a result, the temperature inside the building can intensify quickly, causing the cooling and ventilation system to run at full control. Active insulation techniques are therefore energy-efficient. However, there is a substitute in the form of active insulation that allows the turning on and turning off of the insulation system. The active insulation board includes air ducts that extend from top to bottom on both sides of the air ducts. The active insulation board is covered on both sides with the help of a foil. Therefore when the sun rises and environment gets warmer, the air that is trapped inside the cavity wall gets heated up, resulting in the heating up of the air trapped in the outer ducts of the insulation board.

The small voltage ventilators then pumps the air towards the inner side of the active insulation board. The cooling procedure of the active insulation board also takes place in similar manner. The active insulation board is fitted with its own ventilator and can therefore be functioned independently. Therefore, the insulation boards can be turned on or off, whenever required, in all the rooms that are insulated. Active insulation boards enable the passing of cool or warm air into the places where it is needed at any time of day.
