Karcher Celebrate ‘Thank Your Cleaner Day’

Every year in October is your opportunity to show your appreciation for the ‘behind the scenes’ work done by your cleaner. Thank Your Cleaner Day was launched by BSCNZ in 2015, and is now celebrated across the globe in more than 20 countries. As Sarah McBride, CEO of BSCNZ says, “This is a wonderful opportunity for corporates to engage and acknowledge the hard work of cleaners in New Zealand.”

Every day tens of thousands of skilled, hard-working cleaning staff are on site to ensure your premises are ready to go for the next business day. Cleaners work day, night and weekends to keep your working and living environments clean, safe and hygienic, often under the radar of normal working hours. The Building Service Contractors of New Zealand (BSCNZ) are proud to be the vehicle behind Thank Your Cleaner Day.

We all like to feel appreciated and valued, and this day is a proven way to thank individuals who are predominantly never seen, but yet work hard to keep your place of business healthy and clean. In associating your brand with this special day you are showing that your business cares about the individuals who help keep your place of business clean and hygienic – so you can continue to do what you do best!

This is a wonderful opportunity to be involved in a great imitative, and you can plan a special way to celebrate – such as a morning tea, flowers and a card, signed by all your staff. You can contact your BSCNZ cleaning contractor and express your interest to become involved. They can provide posters, pins and correspondence.

Every year businesses find wonderful ways to make this day special, so if your business wishes to offer further support, or to become involved, please contact the BSCNZ office on 09 580 1160.

This year Karcher put on a morning tea for their cleaner, Kura, complete with a yummy cake and spring flowers. For more information on commercial cleaning equipment, carpet cleaning machines and window vacuum cleaners please go to www.karcher.co.nz .
